The High Km´s from Bariloche
Bariloche is a tourist destiny sustained in a bucolic image of forests, mountains and lakes; a living postcard in the Patagonia Argentina where pioneering – the first European immigrants – tried to reproduce an Alpine Europe.
But Bariloche is also Vuriloche, the step that the former inhabitants were using to cross the mountain chain of the Andes and a historical pole of internal migrations.
In this work, I´ve tried to link the environment and the frontier zone between El Alto, a slump neighborhood zone of migrations set as more vulnerable and the proceeding Km’s, a zone of the middle-class people, basically from BsAs.
**This was the first scanning I´ve done in June 2013 in Bariloche, Argentina. It continues with the main and more in deep documenting story from 2014: The Vuriloche kids**
